What have we been working on
Renovating a beautiful 4 bedroom family home.
We are still deciding what we are up to...
We didn't anticipate getting into the realestate business. In fact, we were one week into being officially homeless when we bought our first house. We are nomads by spirit, but that works well when an opportunity on the other side of the country arises.
Now we are in Tennessee—a new home in a new state—with a bit project. We have a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, brick house on 2 acres of land in a fine neighborhood. As far as we are concerned, the possibilities are endless.
So, we revert to our natural comfort zone: look at home ownership as an experiment. We are currently formulating our hypothesis. The question: What is the optimal amount of investment we should make in the house? It's easy to suggest granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances, but we are now in the research phase to determine: what is truly worth our effort?
We'll post details, you post your opinions.
